| The 1 : 5 Million International Geological Map of Europe and Adjacent Areas (IGME 5000) shows the pre-Quarternary geology of the entire Europe onshore and – first time at this scale – offshore. The map was developed as a GIS under the leadership of BGR and the auspices of the Commission of the Geological Map of the World (CGMW) in cooperation with Geological Surveys of 48 countries and more than 20 scientific institutes. The printed map was published in 2005. | |
