Groundwater level hydrographs

The groundwater level hydrographs were compiled by the Chronicles Consortium from governmental and research monitoring borehole networks (Cuthbert et al., 2019). The diagrams show groundwater level variations from the long term average groundwater level at each site. Seasonal and long-term differences in groundwater level response reflect a complex interplay of climate, geology, soil, and land cover, but most hydrographs show seasonal fluctuations that indicate recharge at some point in most years Source: BGR, BGS, BRGM, EAWAG & UNESCO
